Question: hi i have a lion head white rabbit and i am thinking about buying a brown english lop, but the only problem is that i want babies so if i buy the lop will it make babies with my lionhead? Does antone have any ideas?
Answer: If the English Lop is the doe, technically you could, but why would you want to? Breeding is best left to the people producing rabbits for a reason. If you really want to breed your better bet is to find out if your Lionhead is show quality and get another quality Lionhead, or get a pair of showable English Lops. I'm a breeder myself so I'm not against breeding, I just don't like to see more mixed breed rabbits brought into the world for no reason, when we already have plenty. If you're showing and breeding to produce healthy quality show rabbits, at least you have a purpose for breeding.
