Pollution in LA?

Question: Is the air quality better in the western part of Los Angeles, like in the Woodland Hills district?

Answer: Woodland Hills is not considered part of "western Los Angeles". It is in the San Fernando Valley, with other communities like Encino, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, etc. The SF Valley is more like northern L.A. Western L.A. communities include Bel-Air, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Westwood, etc. And having lived in both regions, I'd say the coastal regions in western Los Angeles have the better air quality. Places like Malibu and Santa Monica or Pacific Palisades have fresher, cleaner air than inland communities like Woodland Hills or even Beverly Hills. In general, Los Angeles doesn't have good air quality. There is so much pollution here. Some areas are better than others though. I think Canadians have the best air quality in North America, especially in places like British Columbia or Ontario, which I hope to visit one day...apparently, they are more environmental than us.
