Answer: Hmmm that's an interesting one, as you will have a lot of people who think super cars should just run on petrol. Also some big car manufacturers believe that diesel is only a short term solution, as there have been development of petrol engines that can give diesel economy and whilst producing more power, look out for the "diesotto". The weight of that Diesel V12 in the R8 might not give the best results when it comes to handling. But with all that torque I'm sure it will change purists minds. Diesel racing will be around for a few years, but I believe petrol powered racing will be back, but I'd rather see bio-fuel racing as the technologies used will ultimately be passed down to big car manufacturers.
