Question: Thanx for answering..... i was looking at this badminton http://www.nrcsports.com/html/badminton_racquets_-_carlton_c_9.html it's cheap and stuff and made out off titanium so do u think it's good or what?
Answer: If you are only looking to play outdoor, casual badminton, the Carlton 03 Attack is fine. However, if you want to compete, either recreationally or in local/regional tournaments, you will need something a bit more advanced. See how there is a T-joint on that racquet (holding the head to the shaft)? Any decent racquet should have a built-in T-joint. Also, it lists the weight at 110g, which is heavy. You won't be able to pull off any snappy smashes, drives, backhands, etc. with that. Look for something that weighs between 75 and 90g, depending on how much you want to pay. Graphite and graphite/titanium are good choices. I would suggest checking out HL (hlbadminton.com) and Yonex (yonex.com/badminton) to get an idea of what kind of racquet you want, and then if you can find it cheaper somewhere else, great. And if you can, try some racquets out first before you buy--this is easy if you have friends that play badminton, as they will all most likely use different models. Good luck finding your perfect racquet!
